Due To Explosive Growth, MPI Research Continues to Add to Scientific Staff!

MPI Research is extremely proud of its fantastic growth over the last 7 years. In that period the MPI Research team has grown from 250 employees to a workforce of almost 600 people dedicated to meeting our Sponsor’s needs for the preclinical testing of their products. As a part of our continuing efforts to grow both in terms of capacity and the expertise needed to meet the demands of our Sponsors, MPI Research is pleased to announce the addition to our industry leading scientific team of Christopher Stewart, Ph.D., D.A.B.T.

Dr. Stewart joins MPI Research from the Redfield, Arkansas division of Charles River Laboratories. Dr. Stewart spent four years as a Study Director at Redfield, where he gained valuable experience in general toxicology evaluations of various products, with particular emphasis on biotechnology products such as proteins, DNA and viral vectors. He also brings strong expertise in studying the effects of test agents in both juvenile and pediatric large animal models. Dr. Stewart received his doctorate from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences after which he performed postdoctoral studies in both the cardiovascular and juvenile malnutrition areas, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Prior to pursuing his doctorate, Chris spent seven years with the neurotoxicology division of the National Center for Toxicological Research in Jefferson, Arkansas.

David Serota, Ph.D., D.A.B.T., Director of Toxicology at MPI Research, commented, “We are very pleased to have Dr. Stewart join our Study Director team as he brings a strong scientific background and wonderful attitude to MPI Research. We remain committed to providing our Sponsors with the highest scientific expertise and personal service, and Dr. Stewart fits in extremely well with this corporate philosophy. One of the most outstanding attributes about Chris Stewart was the number of positive comments that we received from Sponsors that had previously worked with him, including his skills as a scientist, his attention to detail, and his excellent communication skills. These skills are consistent with our expectations of a Study Director at MPI Research and we are proud to welcome him to our scientific family.”

MPI Research exists to provide comprehensive non-clinical research that meets the requirements of pharmaceutical, medical device, animal health and chemical companies as well as governmental agencies as we partner together to bring safer, healthier products to the world.
