| MPI Research is Proud
to Announce Continued Full AAALAC Accreditation! |
MPI Research is extremely proud to receive
continued accreditation from the Association
for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory
Animal Care International (AAALAC). AAALAC
representatives recently conducted an intense
and extensive two-day inspection of the MPI
Research facilities and gave a strong commendation
for providing and maintaining a quality program
of laboratory animal care and use!
Several aspects of the MPI Research animal
program were deemed “especially noteworthy” by
the AAALAC representatives, including ‘the
commitment and efficiency of the MPI Research
Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee
(IACUC), the high overall degree of sanitation
of the facilities, the very effective and
active technician training programs, the
professionalism and knowledge of the MPI
Research staff and the outstanding level
of animal health being maintained at one
of the largest facilities of its kind anywhere
in the world’.
William Harrison, President and Chief Operating
Officer for MPI Research, commented: “We
could not be more proud of the report issued
by AAALAC. We are especially pleased to receive
such high praise from the leading independent
world body on the care and use of laboratory
animals. This inspection is not required
by any governmental or regulatory body, and
we submit voluntarily to this inspection
every three years. AAALAC’s sole concern
is the proper use and care of animals for
research purposes and the organization takes
its charter very seriously. We know we are
at the top of our industry with the unqualified
endorsement of AAALAC!”
